Hey there, I’m glad you’re here!

I’m Heather Clarke. I’m a chronic blogger, amateur photographer, coffee fanatic, seeker of adventure and all things good.

In early 2015 my husband and I made the crazy decision to sell our beautiful 2,000 square foot house in suburbia along with all our possessions. We moved our family of four into a 30-foot Airstream trailer (180 square feet) and set off to travel this beautiful country.

We knew there was more to life than a big house, a stuffed garage and an endless list of chores needed to just keep up, to survive. We wanted to see our kids more, we wanted to see the world, we wanted to live with LESS . . . .so we could experience more. We haven’t looked back – we are forever changed.

I believe now more than ever that life shouldn’t be lived by society’s standards – but instead driven by what brings you happiness. . . .

So, I created A Happy Hive. . .  a website about saving money, good food, travel and things that make me HAPPY.

It’s a site for YOU . . . for us. . . .for happiness and living a life worth living.
