Oh my. Oh my. This Almond Tart recipe is trouble. I challenge you to make them and only eat one, I think it’s actually impossible. They are super delicious. And super easy to make. You can’t really tell from the photo, but they are mini bite size tarts, so great for platter of treats.

Ingredients
  • 1 cup real butter
  • 1 egg
  • ½ tsp. vanilla
  • 2 ½ c. flour
  • 1 ¼ c. powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp. almond extract
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • Almond paste
Instructions
  1. Cream butter and sugar; mix well. Add the egg, extract, vanilla, and salt; mix well. Add flour. Line mini muffin pan with petit cups. Place ¼ tsp. rounded dough into cup. Place paste on top. Top paste with ½ tsp. rounded piece of dough. Press top even in cup and sprinkle with red or green sugar. Bake at 400 degrees for 6 – 8 minutes. Tops should be light brown.
