Ravenwood RV Resort – near Silverwood Theme Park {Idaho}

Shared July 8, 2015

Ravenwood-RV-Resort

I recently shared about our awesome trip to Silverwood Theme Park – what fun we had!  If you’re planning a similar trip, and you’re looking for an RV park near Silverwood, I highly recommend Ravenwood RV Resort!

RV-Park-Near-Silverwood

Located just off Bunco road, a mile south of Silverwood Theme Park, this place was so conveniently located – saving us a long drive to/from an RV park in the Spokane or Coeur d’Alene area. (Silverwood also has an RV park, but it books out way in advance).

If you haven’t heard of this RV resort before, that’s probably because the Ravenwood RV Resort is brand spankin’ new. They had been open two weeks when we pulled into the lot. The first thing you’ll notice is a big beautiful lodge-like building greeting you at the front entrance. Park in the designated lanes and head inside to register your vehicle.

We had a pull-through spot in the back and I was just tickled when we pulled into the spot and found our trailer was completely level! I love it when RV parks have level spots – it saves us so much time not having to put down levelers and re-park. Our spot had a nice picnic table.

We had 50 amp hook-ups, water and sewer at our RV site. And the park had Wi-Fi that rocked (thank goodness). The spots were nice and big and there were trees for shade. Prices start as low as $35 a night.

Ravenwood RV Resort operates a FREE shuttle to and from Silverwood, which will save you the $5 parking fee. You can get shuttle hours from the front office.

Inside the main building they sell snacks, drinks, ice and Northwest-made products. They also have discounted Silverwood tickets available for purchase. It’s really nice inside the shop.

Outside they have an awesome fountain feature . .

. . . and beautiful hanging baskets. You can tell they take great pride in their park!

Since the park is so new they are working on adding new accommodations that aren’t quite up and running just yet.

Swimming pool – They are SO close to finishing the swimming pool. I heard they had a paperwork snafu and had a couple days of work left on the outdoor swimming pool. I took a peek and it looks like it’s going to be amazing. It should be open in the very near future. My kids would have loved this!

Showers and Laundry – They have to monitor their septic system for a bit before they’re able to add showers and laundry, but they plan to add them in the future. Most likely the 2016 season.

Landscaping – I had the staff apologize about the landscaping a couple times – saying they are working on getting it nicer. This takes time and frankly we didn’t think it was that bad. The whole Northwest has had a HOT summer, so things are dry everywhere. I know they are fervently watering and trying to get the landscaping a bit more green. I did like the trees throughout the resort that offer privacy, shade and character.

Even though they didn’t have these other accommodations available quite yet when we stayed, we were really pleased with our RV spot, the customer service, the rocking Wi-Fi and the extremely close proximity to Silverwood Theme Park. I would definitely stay here again!

Looks fun! I’m interested to read a budget update, and a comparison of it with your budget before going on the road. You may not have enough data to do this yet.

We checked this out on our recent trip to Silverwood. We’ve stayed at the Silverwood RV park 3 times and this time all of the trees were gone after a storm from last year. They have replanted some but currently there is no shade. The first morning we drove down to Ravenwood and were impressed with the resort feel. Hope they get everything up and running for our trip next summer.

Dont forget to see shasta caverns. And burney falls. Beautiful in spring. But tbe fall leaves look good. Also whiskey town falls. Nice little hike. Also castle craigs. . Maybe well see you on your travels. On the coast patricks point. Love being among the ferns. And listen to the seals. And Goldfield nv. If you love old buildings . And rocks. And history. But there is no gas station there so fill up when you can. But worth it. Safe travels peg
